Spanic

Spanic was a Spanish Eurodance group active in the first half of the 1990s, made up of Carmen Bárbara, Cristian San Bernardino and Rafael Gisbert. It is one of the few Spanish projects of the genre to break through internationally: its version of “Sister Golden Hair” spent six weeks at number one in the Netherlands. The group is also remembered for its dance reworking of The Police's “Bring On the Night”. Its sound combined Eurodance backing with Spanish guitar, one of the hallmarks of Spanish-made dance music that decade. The line-up stopped releasing in the mid-1990s, but its tracks are still played at 90s music parties.
