Snap! is a German dance project created in Frankfurt by producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti, who worked under the aliases Benito Benites and John “Virgo” Garrett III. With Penny Ford's vocals and Turbo B's rap, “The Power” became a worldwide hit in 1990, and two years later “Rhythm Is a Dancer”, sung by Thea Austin, went to number one across much of Europe. Other well-known titles include “Ooops Up”, “Exterminate!” and “Welcome to Tomorrow”. Regarded as one of the pioneers of eurodance, Snap! still performs live with Penny Ford, who later returned to the line-up, playing all of the group's biggest hits.
