Ricardo F is a DJ and producer from Barcelona regarded as one of the pioneers of the makina sound and of harder electronic music in Spain. He started DJing in the late 1980s with funk and house as his base, and played historic Barcelona clubs such as Comics and Verdi before finding his defining residency at the legendary Chasis club in Mataró, where he ran the booth between 1993 and 2002. There he produced the brand's first singles and its compilation albums, several of which went gold and platinum in Spain. In 2000 the magazine DJ1 named him best techno-dance DJ. With more than three decades behind him, he still plays remember parties across the country.
