O-Zone is a Moldovan Eurodance group formed in Chișinău in 1999 and produced by Dan Balan. Its best-known line-up was the trio of Dan Balan, Radu Sîrbu and Arsenie Todiraș. In 2003 they released “Dragostea din tei”, which topped charts across Europe, reached number 3 in the UK and sold millions of copies worldwide; it is widely known as the “Numa Numa” song. The album “DiscO-Zone” (2003) sold more than two and a half million copies. The group split in 2005 and reunited for one-off concerts in 2017 and 2019; its songs remain staples of parties and festivals devoted to 90s and 2000s music.
