La Luna is a Belgian eurotrance project formed in 1998 around singer Sofie Lambaerts, born in Herentals in 1980, and producer Regi Penxten, who was looking for a female voice for a new dance venture. Its first single, “Save Me From the Night”, came out in January 1999 and became a club hit; it was followed by “Venus” the same year and “When the Morning Comes”, which charted in Belgium in 2000. Sofie, who took the stage name Luna, keeps the project alive on stage and performs at festivals and parties devoted to nineties music across Europe.
