José María Castells Lloberas (Barcelona, 1965-2025) was one of Spain's most influential DJs and megamix editors. He started playing in Barcelona clubs as a teenager and in 1985 finished second in the first DJ contest organised by Max Music. Soon afterwards he began the Max Mix series with Toni Peret, signing its central volumes, and went on to assemble dozens of mixed compilations that defined the Spanish commercial dance sound. In 1995 Quique Tejada joined them to form the so-called Dream Team, behind series such as Bombazo Mix, Caribe Mix and Máquina Total. In 2015 the trio regrouped as Dream3Team Reload and returned to remember stages.
