Hard Rain are a British band formed in the late 1980s by Marcus Myers (vocals) and Bruce Maxwell-Smith (guitar), alongside Steve Phypers and Simon Laffy. They debuted in 1987 on London Records and in 1988 released the EP «Diamonds», whose title track became their international calling card. In Spain «Diamonds» became tied to the dance floors of the era and over the years turned into a fixture of remember sets, which has brought the band back to Spanish venues and festivals devoted to eighties and nineties music. Myers and Maxwell-Smith keep the line-up alive with occasional shows on that circuit.
