Corona is an Italian Eurodance project created in 1993 by producer Francesco “Checco” Bontempi (Lee Marrow), with Brazilian singer and model Olga Maria de Souza as its face and live voice. Its debut single, “The Rhythm of the Night”, spent eight weeks at number one in Italy, reached number 2 in the UK and entered the top 20 of the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming one of the defining dance anthems of the 1990s. It was followed by hits such as “Baby Baby” and “Try Me Out”, both UK top 10 singles. Corona has released the albums “The Rhythm of the Night” (1995), “Walking on Music” (1998), “And Me U” (2001) and “Y Generation” (2010), and still performs at 90s music festivals.
