B-Movie are a British synth pop band formed in 1979 by Steve Hovington (vocals and bass), Paul Statham (guitar), Rick Holliday (keyboards) and Graham Boffey (drums). Linked to the Some Bizzare label, in the early 1980s they released singles such as «Remembrance Day», «Marilyn Dreams» and above all «Nowhere Girl», a 1982 track that became a European dance-floor classic and has been championed by the new wave scene ever since. Their sound, indebted to Ultravox and the synth pop pioneers, paired pop melodies with layers of keyboards and cool, detached vocals. After splitting in the mid-eighties, the band reunited years later and has toured and released new material again with Hovington at the front.
